“Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.” Psalm 114:7 (NIV)
— Lyrics —
Written by Alan Wang · Music Suno-assisted
Based on Psalm 114
When Israel walked out from Egypt's land,
A people set free by a mighty hand,
Judah became the place of His praise,
The Lord went before them, making way.
The sea looked up and turned aside,
The river drew back as the people passed by.
What made the sea run away?
What made the river turn?
The Lord is here, the Lord is near,
Let every heart rejoice and learn!
Mountains leap and hills rejoice,
All creation lifts its voice:
The God of Jacob makes a way,
So praise the Lord today!
The mountains skip like rams on the hills,
The earth stood trembling at His will.
He turns the rock to a flowing spring,
And thirsty hearts find life in Him.
The sea looked up and turned aside,
The river drew back as the people passed by.
What made the sea run away?
What made the river turn?
The Lord is here, the Lord is near,
Let every heart rejoice and learn!
Mountains leap and hills rejoice,
All creation lifts its voice:
The God of Jacob makes a way,
So praise the Lord today!
Shake, O earth, before the Lord,
He is faithful, He is strong.
From the stone He brings the water,
From our mouths He brings the song.
Shake, O earth, before the Lord,
Every valley, every height;
He who led His people onward
Leads us in His living light.
What made the sea run away?
What made the river turn?
The Lord is here, the Lord is near,
Let every heart rejoice and learn!
Mountains leap and hills rejoice,
All creation lifts its voice:
The God of Jacob makes a way,
So praise the Lord today!
The God of Jacob makes a way,
So praise the Lord today!
Praise the Lord today!
The God of Jacob makes a way!
